一、产量：2003年在四川省多点试验平均亩产612.6公斤；比对照汕优63增产7.62％。2004江西省区试平均亩产552.13公斤，比CK汕优63增产4.56%，第二位。2005年江西省区试试验平均比CK汕优63增产7.27%，位居试验第三位。
二、米质：
抽样送中国水稻所稻米及其制品质量监督检验中心测定，金佳丝苗米质优，透明度达到2.0级。长宽比2.9，糙米率80.9％,精米率74.2％，胶稠度68mm,垩白率14.7％,垩白度2.89％, 直链淀粉含量15.8％。达到国标三级优质米。
三、抗性：
江西省区试试验稻瘟病抗性自然诱发鉴定，苗瘟2级，叶瘟4级，穗瘟发病率28.57-35.60％、结果金佳香稻综合抗病级数为7级，对照汕优63为9级。
四、特征特性：

2004年参加河南省南部稻区中籼稻区域试验，平均亩产599.0公斤；2005年续试，平均亩产535.5公斤。两年平均亩产567.25公斤。
适宜长江流域、南方稻区种植Ⅱ优838地区作一季中稻种植。

作中稻栽培，全生育期比汕优63早5-7天，比金优725早2_3天,一般亩产为600-650公斤。作晚稻栽培，全生育期比汕优46相当，一般亩产550-600公斤。结实率高，千粒重大。分蘖力较强，株型紧凑，杆硬抗倒。苗期耐寒、穗期耐高温；稻米品质中偏上。在95-96年全国区试中创造了“两年平均绝对产量第一（581.92公斤）；增产幅度第一(24.49%)；日产量第一(4.3公斤)；增产点次百分率第一(两年30个点次100%增产)”(摘自川科鉴字[2002]第126号《水稻耐热、高配合力籼粳交恢复系泸恢17的创制与应用》成果鉴定意见)的历史记录。

97年四川省区试汇总平均比对照汕优63增产5.35%。全省区试生产试验比对照汕优63增产7.53%，2004年对获国家专利保护的父本泸恢17成功提纯复壮。改良复壮后的精品Ⅱ优7号更具高产、稳产。抗倒能力极强。苗期耐低温、穗期耐高温。

特征特性：该品种全生育期比汕优63迟熟2-3天。株高110厘米左右，繁茂性好,苗期较耐寒,分蘖力较强,穗大粒多，结实率高，千粒重大。
产量表现：1999年生产试验，平均亩产较对照增产6.3%。近几年在四川、重庆、贵州、湖南、湖北、江西、福建等各地大面积种植表现良好。

该组合系四川省农科院水稻高粱研究所选育的超级杂交水稻。2004年通过国家审定，并被列为2005年全国50个水稻主导品种之一，重庆市2006年主导品种。
2000年四川省区试，平均亩产比对照汕优63增产8.61%，居试验组第一位。2002年参加国家区试，比对照汕优63增产6.17%。2003年参加国家生产试验，最高亩产比对照汕优63增产15%以上。2004年，经四川省农业厅、科技厅组织专家验收，在四川汉源县农户自主种植田块亩产达924.45公斤；在泸县“国家丰粮工程”示范片亩产达736.9公斤，突破了川东南再生稻区头季亩产700公斤大关。
该品种自2002年开始在四川、安徽、湖北、重庆、江西、湖南、广西、贵州、江苏、浙江等地大面积种植，表现为：高产稳产、耐肥抗倒、耐寒抗热、粒大粒重、结实率高，具有广泛的适应性和稳产性。全生育期比汕优63迟熟2-3天。株高适中，株型较好，熟期转色好。再生力强。米粒外观及食味品质中上。

该品种属晚籼早熟型三系杂交水稻品种。全生育期117天左右，比汕优64长1～2天。株叶型态好，熟期适中，高产、稳产，米质中等偏上，感稻瘟病及白叶枯病。适宜在湖南、湖北、江西、安徽、浙江省稻瘟病、白叶枯病轻发区作双季晚稻种植。
